[Shanghai, China, September 18, 2025] During Huawei Connect 2025, the All-Optical Network Summit, themed "No Light, No AI: All-Optical Networks Accelerate AI for All Industries," was successfully held. At the summit, Huawei introduced the progress of all-optical networks in global industry digitalization applications and launched its new F5G-A (F5G Advanced) series of products, as well as ten global F5G-A all-optical network demonstration sites.
Jin Zhiguo, Vice President of Huawei's Optical Product Line, pointed out at the conference that all-optical networks, as one of the key elements for AI democratization, have helped more than 2,000 enterprises worldwide implement AI applications. Numerous practices have shown that all-optical networks are the best choice for AI popularization, and are rapidly extending from data center interconnection to industry communication networks, campus networks, and sensing terminals, realizing computing with strong optical power, promoting computing with optical power, benefiting computing with optical power, and empowering computing with optical power, making AI accessible to thousands of industries.

Focusing on key scenarios, the F5G-A innovative solution has been fully upgraded.
To support the construction of new power systems, Huawei has released an edge computing board and collaborated with partners to develop intelligent converged terminals, enabling real-time perception and accurate prediction of distributed photovoltaic power and transformer load. This will help low-voltage distribution networks evolve towards "self-sensing, self-decision-making, and self-optimization," and promote the application of "light-driven computing" in power scenarios.
For ISP-enabled home broadband scenarios, Huawei, adhering to the solution-building philosophy of "from a single fiber to a single network to a smart home," launched the AI Anti-Interference Wi-Fi 7 ONT, enabling home access speeds to enter the 10 Gigabit era and stably supporting high-speed access for AI applications. Based on AI-FTTR, it provides ISPs with functions such as 2D to 3D video conversion, offering a cinema-level 3D experience, and supports new features such as voice interaction and AI Agent deployment, creating a smart home hub for the AI era, seizing the entry point for smart home services, and realizing "computing with fiber."
In educational, medical, and hotel campus scenarios, Huawei has comprehensively upgraded its F5G-A 10 Gigabit all-optical campus solution and launched a series of new products: the industry's first commercially available symmetrical 50G PON optical terminal, which reduces the loading time of pathological slides from 2 minutes to within 10 seconds, significantly improving the efficiency of AI pathology testing; optical APs that support seamless roaming, virtualizing 48 APs into 1 AP, achieving same-frequency networking and seamless switching, ensuring zero interruption of mobile ward rounds and office operations; and the industry's first optical sensing integrated Wi-Fi 7 optical AP, which integrates Wi-Fi sensing functions to determine the occupancy status of guest rooms and terminal connection status in real time, and linking them to achieve functions such as automatic lighting adjustment for smart energy saving, anti-flying room management, and anti-privacy leakage.
In oil and gas pipeline inspection scenarios, Huawei's fiber optic sensing pipeline inspection solution has added the industry's first automatic tracking and detection function for oil and gas pipeline cleaning tools. By collecting data in real time and combining it with AI algorithm analysis, the positioning accuracy is less than 20 meters, helping customers quickly handle stuck balls, significantly improving cleaning efficiency, and realizing "computing with light".
Ten F5G-A all-optical network demonstration sites were released, setting a global benchmark for digital transformation.
During the summit, Huawei officially released ten global F5G-A all-optical network demonstration sites, including Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Wuliangye (a famous Chinese liquor company), Shenzhen Nanshan District People's Hospital, Wuhan's "Citywide Network," and Brazil's GIGA+, covering key industries such as government, power, transportation, education, healthcare, manufacturing, ISPs, and hotels. Through real-world business scenarios, these sites provide referable "F5G-A all-optical network + AI" practice models for the digital transformation of various industries worldwide.
Facing the AI era, Huawei will continue to innovate in the optical field, working with customers and partners to accelerate the development of all-optical networks and make AI accessible to all industries.
From September 18th to 20th, 2025, the 10th Huawei Connect Conference will be held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center and Expo Center. Themed "Leaping Forward in Industry Intelligence," this year's conference will explain Huawei's latest initiatives in its comprehensive intelligent strategy from a three-dimensional perspective of "strategic panorama - industry technology - ecosystem development," and will release new digital infrastructure products, industry-specific solutions, and development tools.
