The GYTA53 optical cable consists of 250µm optical fibers inserted into loose tubes made of high-modulus material, with the tubes filled with a waterproof compound. At the center of the cable core is a metal reinforcing core; for certain core counts, a layer of polyethylene (PE) is extruded over the metal reinforcing core. The loose tubes (and filler ropes) are twisted around the central reinforcing core to form a compact and round cable core, with the gaps within the core filled with a water-blocking filler. A layer of polyethylene inner sheath is extruded after longitudinal wrapping with plastic-coated aluminum tape (APL), and a polyethylene sheath is extruded after longitudinal wrapping with double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) to form the cable.

1. Product Standards
Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable's GYTA53 optical cable conforms to YD/T 901 and IEC 60794-1 standards.
2. Product Features
It has excellent mechanical properties and temperature characteristics.
The loose sleeve material itself has good hydrolysis resistance and high strength.
The tube was filled with a special grease, which provided crucial protection for the optical fiber.
Good compressive strength and flexibility
The following measures are taken to ensure the waterproof performance of the optical cable:
- Single metal central reinforcing core
- The loose tube is filled with a special waterproof compound.
- Fully filled cable core
- Aluminum coated strip (APL) moisture barrier
- Double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) improves the optical cable's resistance to moisture penetration.
- Excellent water-blocking materials prevent longitudinal water seepage into the optical cable
